The Centogene PCR tests are available to passengers departing or arriving in Düsseldorf as well as to the general public. The test center is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is centrally located in Terminal C (public area, departure level) of Düsseldorf Airport. Interested parties who want to carry out a SARS-CoV2 test can register at the test center without making an appointment and then have a throat swab carried out.
  • Registration: In order to take the test, you must first register in an online portal. You can also register directly at the facility on any mobile phone or tablet. Authentication is carried out by Centogene employees.
  • Procedure: Trained personnel take a throat swab in the smear cubes.
The sample tube is marked with a barcode sticker and assigned to the person directly in the test portal. This guarantees a clear connection between sample and person right from the start. The sample is brought to the laboratory and evaluated there.
  • Result: Normally, the test result will be delivered after 24 hours at the latest.
  • Cost: 59 euros.
Arriving passengers from risk areas according to the RKI can be tested free of charge within the framework of the legal provisions applicable at the time - the billing is done with the health insurance company. Please note that the passenger must provide proof (flight ticket, hotel bill, or similar).
